darkening

Hi I've had my beardie for a little over a month and his overall color seems a little bit darker than before. Was wondering if it was the lighting or something to do with the uvb.

he's on full alert here cause we're outside that's why he looks so skinny :?

I am not an expert at any means as I am new to owning a beardie as well and mine is even younger than yours. That being said I also had issue with my beardie darkening while basking so I adjusted his home and his basking spot to a little less heat. It was at 110 and now it's at 105 and he is light and colorful in his home. Not to mention he is on the move and not just laying there... Make sure you have the proper UV lighting as well, from what I've read that makes a world a difference.

I will also say just from your pic that your beardie looks on the small side... Is he eating and pooping okay? That last picture you show he looks very think to me... maybe it's just that picture though...

In the last picture he heard a hawk so he stood up and like sucked in idk lol. But was a nice pic of his color.. he eats good a good 30 reptiworms in the morning and crickets when I get home then whatever he's more interested in at about 6... he was the clutch runt so I had to take him ofcourse haha. But yea I went lazy and bought him a cheaper mvb solar glo.. but am either getting some tubes with my next paycheck or the powersun not sure yet but thank you for your input
