Yesterday was an overcast muggy day that seemed eerie after so many nice days. It almost felt like summer-mid-day-eastern-seaboard-type-weather, a movement of increasingly thick gray moist air that crept ominously forward, culminating when the lights in my Seattle apartment suddenly flickered once, twice, and on the third time the power was lost... Dagobah seemed indifferent at first, until he became confused and cold. He looked so miserable. I had fed him his second feeding of crickets maybe two hours before 3:30 pm when the outage occurred. At 7:30 PM or so the lights thankfully came back on, and things were restored to Dagobah's universe. The original prediction for getting the grid back up was 11 pm (which I checked on 3G). I was about to drive 20 miles north to where my mom lives to warm up Dagobah in an old 20 gallon. I guess it was due to water and dust, a series of nice clear days followed by a moist day caused a connection to trip and a surge to follow. Something like that.

Anyway being kind of a doomsday guy, think I might invest in a generator, ha...

I took pictures of Dagobah's first power-outage.

I was actually really worried here, because when the lights came back on, he lay like this for an hour or more until he was alert again. That outage really messed with his internal clock. Good news is, he's just fine today!

I'm glad to see we have Star Wars fans. I thought I was getting a little dorky for a while. Dagobah has become addicted to Superworms I believe. If the force was strong with him I think they'd be all gone by the time I got home with the bucket in his tank. Then he'd tell me how it was not he who ate them, and to go about my business.

Great pics, M:TG and Star Wars awesome combo. I used to own a comic book store and still play Magic. Drachen(5-6 weeks) had his/her(too young for sexing) first power outage this past weekend from Sunday 7am until Wednesday 3:30pm. I was extremely worried, but light feeding and stuff happened so Drachen seemed fine with most of it just a little pissed off. Dagobah looks like a healthy happy Dragon and is cute besides.

He did have an awful good time on the highway. It's just too bad it will be too cold and rainy for the next 9 months . Think we're gonna smother him with sunshine the next few days.

I starting playing Magic TG again, after a hiatus of ummm 16 yrs or so. Sometimes I have no idea how to play a card I am so out of practice with the language of the game. Still fun though when I don't feel like playing poker. The things you never think of before you buy an animal with such special needs. Never thought about power-outages before buying a dragon, but seriously that could be a big problem if it goes down for a few days or so I thought... That's amazing Drachen made it fine after almost 4 days. Which region was this? That's a seriously long time for a power outage. Must have been Irene then.

Yeah it was Irene, I am from Long Island NY. After Irene it was like 88 and not a cloud in the sky so I went to target and got a blow up kiddie pool worked wonders. The night of Irene I took Drachen for a ride in the car and got the heat up to 105 so he enjoyed that immensely, I didn't so much.

I started playing M:TG May of 2010 after a 7 year hiatus so I was in the same boat back then. Now thought I play in Grand Prix events and like you play poker as well. Actually looking for a reptile friendly hotel in Atlantic City. They let cats and dogs in but not my little Drachen
