We are planning on redoing her house hopefully to make her happier (she is nasty and angry!) and healthy.
I am being told by friends in here that we need to go to tile flooring asap? the light on the left is a reptisun 10.0 uvb (on during the day only) and the one on the right is a zoomed 50 watt nocturnal infrared heat lamp (on at all times). does this seem right?
I am looking for ideas.
What would you do for Cupid to make her house better?
we may not be able to spend a bunch of money at once, but are definitely at least getting the rabbit pellets out today!then can slowing add other things as we go along.
Any suggestions are very much welcome and appreciated!
Does she need a hammock or a snuggle blanket? a rock or anything like that? does she really need the water dish? HELP?!

Honestly I would just put paper towels and maybe a few slate tiles in this cage and save up for a bigger cage. If you watch Craigslist or petco tank sales you can get a suitable tank under 50 dollars.. minimum for a bd is 40 gal breeder, preferably larger.

Oh and ditch the night light. Just get a regular spot and put it on the same schedule as the uvb.

thank you for your advice. so slate tile stuff like this on part of the tank like this? http://www.homedepot.com/Flooring-Floor-Tile-Wall-Tile/h_d1/N-5yc1vZar0yZ12kx/R-202050756/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

and i do know we need a bigger tank. the pet store said this set up would be fine for her until she was like a year and a half or so. but i think she is already growing too big for it at 9 months. i will keep an eye out for sales.

Yup. Home depot should have 4x4 3x6 and 6x6 tiles like that.. you could probably cover most of the floor for 10-15 bucks.

Thanks! We are leaving now to go to Lowes or Home Depot! I will post a pic when we change it out!

OK we went to Lowes and got some tile and got some shelving liner. Im hoping this will be better for now until we can save up for a bigger house for her. At least we got rid of the rabbit pellets?? lol. We also took out the water dish. Let me be sure...she does not need a water dish if we bathe her a few times per week right?
We added a little blanket for her to snuggle because she likes to burrow and snuggle like a puppy to sleep (even though she like to attack us like a crazy girl!). but there is no longer substrate for her to burrow in. Is this blanket idea bad or good? it is a infant receiving blanket.

Here is what we have for now. do you think it is better compared to the original post above?

looks much better :) i would take out the water dish, it raises the humidity in your viv which may lead to Respiratory Infections. I would take out the blankie, he might poop on it  try putting it back during bedtime :)

bathe him 2-3x a week 15-20min water not above his shoulders 90-95F x]

This might sound stupid but Im crying right now! I gave Cupid her first bath and she cuddled with me for a minute then I put her in her new home and she seems to love it! She has not cuddled with me for months! I think the bath wore her out!
yay for baths and new homes!!!
:D

good idea about the blankie... he's gonna poop all over it lol

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
