I seem to have issues with breeding crickets.. it's my first round and i have no clue what I'm doing wrong! I bought some top soil from home depot (it has mulch and it's dark brown), I've put cricket calcium food and calcium water, egg crates, the little bins with dirt in them for them to lay and it's always wet.. It also feed left over potato peels, oranges and romaine lettuce..
They chirp and chirp but 12 of them have just died. I have about 30 males and 30 females.. I assumed that would have been enough. The temperature and everything is reading 90 at all times too! It's been a good week and so far and only about 40 of my crickets are alive.
