Crickets in 10 gallon

how many crickets can i hold in a 10 gallon tank without them all dying or not being able to survive. I want to buy 1000 at a time because it's only 20 dollars, but i was wondering if i can keep them in the 10 gallon or if i should just put them in a 20 gal.

i think you would be ok if you have lots of egg cretes or things to climb on

I buy 1000 crickets at a time also, but i keep mine in a 18 gal rubbermaid with no lid so the humidity doesnt build up in there.

so do you suggest i use the 20 gal?

I'm just saying that i know they cant climb the glass, I've never used a glass container to keep them in. I keep them in a rubbermaid tub with packing tape about 1 foot form the bottom, this way they can climb up the sides also (but only so far).

I use a 10 gallon with a single 12x12 egg carton folded over like a horseshoe....for 1000 adult crickets.

You can also use 3m paper packing tape up the side so they have more room to spread out. :wink:
