Cricket Pandemic?!

Hey,

So I took a look at the cricket keeper I've used forever to feed Ollie with. For the first time, there was something... different.

The paper towel I use for the flooring was wet. Soaking wet. It was also a yellow-orangey color. So, I thought to myself, that's weird.
The next thing I noticed was that although there were live crickets in there, many were dead. More than usual. They didn't look right, though. I've seen dead crickets before, but not like these. These dead ones had something strange about them. They were bunched up and mushy...
Also, there was no food in the food dishes, where I always leave it. It was outside of the dishes, and it was colorless. (I think the yellow-orange paper towel was absorbing its color??)
I have no idea what happened. It's never happened ever before in my lifetime. Until I buy a new keeper, (because this one is busted up a bit) I will clean it really well.

Thanks, and have you heard of anything like this? It was very bizarre to me. :?

Did the crickets have a weird white look to them? This is actually the 2 post today that I have read about this.

I didn't see any white on them, although I might have missed it since the crickets were in piles.
