Craigslist Score!!!!!!!!!! Must See!

So I was browsing Craigslist for deals like I always do and I caught a custom cage larger than 55 gallon with lights and all for $40.00 ready for the kicker? They had this great looking beardie for the last two years they got as a baby from animal kingdom and their son just lost interest so I got him in the deal too! Check it out. Everything for $40.00. Hes been black bearding and gaping at me all day but he is stressed so I think he will calm down in a few days. Pics below...

Do you have a UVB light? I don't see one in there. And I would get rid of the wood chips ASAP.. not good for them at all. They could ingest them, and there are plenty of stories on here of beardies who have done that. You definately need to get a UVB light though.

Reptisun 10.0 is the best. Is this your first beardie?

Two of those came with it. 1 small 50 red bulb and just a regular household standard bulb in the other. Im taking a ride tomorrow to pick up a UVB and a few extras for him. There was no UVB si I am guessing he is pretty deficient in a few essentials. He seems pretty healthy, alert,eating, skin looks great.. He needs some UVB and some heat in there.When I got there andpicked him up the first time, he was very cold and only had a small amount of that shredded paper substrate and the tank needed a good cleaning. I took care of that and got him some heat and he is very relaxed right now..

No, not my first.. I am getting the UVB tomorrow for him. The wood chips I put in there for now til tomorrow because there is a crack in the bottom with potential to cut. I had some of the wood left over so I just added it.. thhanks..

First an update.. Rexy is doing much better. He's letting me pick him up, I gave him a bath and think it was his first and his new UVB is making a big difference. I hate to say it but this was more of a rescue. He's seems so much more relaxed now.

As for a search I make sure I broaden it. I include areas I don't mind driving too, I go about up to 2hrs. For me I am In pa close to both ny and nj borders. I punch in a few things: reptile cage, then I search reptile tank, then reptile, bearded dragon, reptile accessories etc.. I do separate searches and I do it once or twice a day. Stuff goes quick. If you might be interested in something reply to it so at least you might have first dibs.

He's so adorable. He looks to be in nice shape considering he didn't have proper UVB, so I am guessing you have a really hardy dragon there. :mrgreen:
