It’s been a while since I posted an update on Poppy. She’s doing great! We've had her a little over 3 months now, and she's catching up to Dante! She’s around 270-300 grams (she’s easily over 300 grams after eating  ), and the last time I measured her on 5/11, she was 16.25 inches. She’s slowed down on eating crickets – she’s down to around 50 3/4-inch crickets a day, and I’m doing only one feeding most days because she’s not eating as much during the second feeding. I’ve also introduced small super worms to her diet (and of course, she loves them  ).

Poppy is still pretty flighty compared to Dante. She doesn’t mind being handled, but she will still flinch if she doesn’t see me right away. I took her outside last weekend, and she was very scared every time I moved – she kept trying to climb onto my head every time I stood up or walked around. After I brought her back inside and put her back in her tank, she stayed exactly where I put her for at least an hour, and she was pretty stressed :( I plan to work with her and take her outside a lot more often, and to take her on errands so she gets used to the car and being in new places. My family may be going on a road trip for a week or two this summer; if so, Poppy and Dante will be coming with us, so it will be a lot easier on Poppy if she gets used to traveling and car rides now. I actually was able to take Dante with me when I walked to pick up my sisters from school today (he was very popular with most of the kids and, surprisingly, many of the adults seemed interested rather than disgusted 8) ). Hopefully at one point Poppy will become more comfortable with being outside so that she can go on fun trips, too!

5/12 She never ceases to amuse me with her funny poses! And she just looks at me as I laugh at her like, "What? I'm comfy this way!"

5/23 These are from today. If you look closely, you can see that she's finally getting some fat pads on her head! :blob5: It seems like her body's been so busy growing that she didn't get fat pads right away.

And just because it's another funny picture, this is how Dante was laying when he woke up this morning - both legs straight out behind him

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
