Cord Harnesses

i used a shoelace, but a cord could be used instead. i couldn't find cord locks for sale anywhere locally and have to order them online.

just make sure you don't have it going around the neck. you can also use a microfiber cloth for a makeshift harness.

did you check out the For Sale section here? there are 3 different kinds you can order for beardies.

I ordered one from Drag-a-longs, and while Toothless still doesn't like it, I think it is just that it is unfamilliar to him. I don't know why it would be breaking his legs- I put the harness down in front of him and very gently maneuver him into it. It's a tad big for him though, so he keeps squirming out. I really like the look of them and they seem like they will work wonderfully once he gets big enough and used to it.

But if you really don't like them, I wish you luck in making one that looks great that you do like.

i didn't like the harnesses i saw either.

so i made my own.

and now i sell them.

if you can make a cord leash that fits your beardie the way you think it most comfortable and safe, then i suggest you try to sell them. most likely someone thinks the same thing and will be willing to buy it.

My girl squirms will do anything to make me not put it on. The way she moves and I have to bend her knee to get her leg in I am worried about breaking her leg. I found a great design that I love to! She loves it to!

The one I got from Drag-a-longs, Doc HATES. He absolutely refuses to let me put it on him. So I gave up. BUT he seems to like the ones from Ogle R Pets, so I order from there:

You probably have the wrong size. I've never had a harness catch on my beardies' scales.

I am not a fan of those either. What I mean is the material whenever it touches her scales it pulls them down

I love the ones bunnyrut sells (Dragon Tamer Lizard Lead) in the For Sale thread. I haven't bought one yet because Tashi is a little too little, but she is making smaller sized ones. I love the colors and that the design allows for their spikes to be untouched and not crowded. I can't wait to get one for Tashi.

@ReptileAddiction - The one on Amazon you found, I order it and it is the exact one from that blog I mentioned. Can't wait to try it out, but right now my little guy is in a mild brumation state, so I can get him awake and active for roughly 2 hours, then he's back hiding. So.... Whenever he gets out of his first experience at life, I'll be sure to post or PM you a picture, but wanted to tell you it was the right one and super excited. Side note, cord seems smooth enough not to catch on the scales, which was exciting to see that.

That little ID card is so cute! I went to the site and made one for fun to see how it would look. What size is that? Did you get small or keychain?
