Cord Harnesses

So I am looking into getting my little girl a cord harness. I have a cloth one from beardeddragons.co and I am NOT happy with it. It traumatizes my girl to be put in it and I feel like I am going to break her legs. I have stopped using that one :? .I really want to get a cord one because I know this will not traumatize her. I do not want to make one because it is easier to buy one. My question is where can I find one? I havent found one yet.

I saw one of those at petco the other day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost bought it but decided I could probably get it from elsewhere. Lets hope they still have one when I go back!!!!!!!!

I do have a photo of one I attempted to make using a thinner cord. Needed to go out and buy a bigger one, but I happened upon the one I ordered by chance after about giving up.

Oh! I wonder what the differences, if any, are between the bunny and iguana one...

and I found it at places like sears. I am skeptical about my little girl staying in it though.

I dont know I prefer not to give my money to petco because of the way they treat their reptiles. I will order mine from amazon!

The member with the blog I mentioned says she likes the one she purchased a lot. Browsing through blog photos, seems to get a lot of use out of it, doesn't seem to cause any discomfort from what I can tell either.

I do like the plastic cord lock on the Iguana one, the one on the rabbit harness looks to be metal... I wonder if the seller would cancel my order and I could go with the other one...

I would imagine there is little to no difference, but I went ahead and requested cancellation of the rabbit one and placed the order for the Iguana one. Hate to do it, but now that I know that it was available to purchase, it would drive me crazy to no end every time I would use it.

I would have done the same thing. I am going to order it now to. So today I went to a petsmart that is about 30 minutes away because I had to go to a store down there. I checked the petsmart because for a while they were selling them to. They had no lizard harnesses and there rabbit harnesses were similar to the one I have now. I found a PERFECT cat one but it was to big. Then I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics and found perfect cording but no cord locks. After that I was done. I might go to walmart and will check there but seriously doubt finding anything that could work.

So I found a cord lock from an old back pack I had. I of course had no cording. I improvised and used an old shoe lace. I was kinda complicated to make but worked well. here are some pictures.

Doesn't have to look pretty to work, I just more visual for my own good :roll:

True. But she also is used to raise awareness for reptiles and is an "ambassador" as the zoo would call it. An ugly harness like this just wont work.
