One of the girls at work is expecting a baby and decided to get rid of all her reptiles. She'd asked me about taking in her toad, snake or lizards but I know she feeds some of them live mice, I'm a total softie for small animals and know I couldnt bring myself to toss anything furry in a tank to be devoured. My boss took her two beardies and was planning on giving them to her 9 year old nephew but decided she wasn't so confident that her sister in law would keep up with their care. So she's telling me about them and I'm interested in the stories she's telling me about them just in the time she's had them and she suggested I take them since I tend to be better about caring for my pets than most people she knows.... I've never owned reptiles before. I've got a chihuahua, two cats and four fishtanks. I told her I'd consider it when she said they eat worms and not mice (worms don't squeal when eaten do they?) and from what I've read up on them so far, it does sound like they'd be pretty entertaining. Figured it would be good to have this site bookmarked for help with any questions that I have concerning their care.
I'm kinda excited now. I told her if I decided to take them, it wouldnt be until we moved into the new house. So I've got two months to prepare a nice setup for them. They've got a tank and decor and all that, I just don't know where to put it or what to put it on or anything like that.
Yay/Yikes!
