Im so sorry. I hope the others remain well.
Did you lose more than one? Im just curious, you had said 22 eggs. Mine ae veeery close...cant wait until they are here. I bought a second incubator to move the hatching eggs into so they dont disturb the newer ones...and my next clutch is on its way!
Post more pics when you can,
Aaron

well the mom laid her 3rd clutch today, just dug the eggs out a few minutes ago. 16. so she had 21 in her very first, 16 in the second, and 16 in this one as well.

Anybody have any tips for feeding the babies the pinheads? I cant seem to get most of them interested in them. Out of desperation, I broke down and got them some tiny tiny meal worms, and they all seem to really like those, but Id rather they be eating crix. any tips?

Hello,

Sorry to hear about Lefty not making it. He must have injured his soft little head under the couch. That is so sad.
So the others are doing pretty well now?

How are you feeding them, in a separate bin? How many do you put in there with them? Do you feed them alone or with another hatchie? Sometimes if they see another one eating, they will be more inclined to eating also.
Yes, be very careful with the mealies as you don't want any impactions in them. You could try the phoenix worms, they would probably like those too.
Give them some time, & hopefully they will show more interest in the pinheads real soon.

Are all of the temps optimal for them?

yes, all temps are right, basking area is around 100+ and the bottom of the tank is about 84-88. They also have a nice little shade area under some sandstone if they are still too hot, but majority of them are up on the log basking.

I feed them in groups because I notice they eat better. I tried feeding them pinheads in a seperate container, but they were just more concerned about getting out. So I put a few pinheads in their home and made sure they were all eaten before I stopped observing. I will give phx worms a shot, have yet to try them with any of my beardies

I have had babys take up to 5 or 6 days till they eat crix, but they always end up eating. I buy 1/4 inch crickets and have never had a problem.

Thanks in advance....

they should be able to move right away. with mine, i never noticed them breathing either and they all kinda looked dead after they got out of the egg. give him a little nudge or remove him from the container you have your egg in and place him in another container so he can drop the sak.

Don't worry. It sometimes takes a long while. I have had some come out head only and stay there for several hours and then finally wiggle further out stopping for another long while. Even after they are fully out all they will want to do is rest. I have not lost any babies during the actually hatching. I have had some die in the eggs before hatching but once they start to come out they are strong little guys.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
