collapsing eggs near hatch date

I have one clutch of eggs, earliest due is on 5/23, sitting in my hovabator right now.
I have noticed a few of these eggs have started to dent/collapse, and others have become softer. Is this because they are so close to hatching? I can provide pictures if needed

okay so i dont know much about eggs but what i can say is every egg hatching video ive seen have all looked collapsed as they were hatching so maybe they are supposed too

awesome! yeah i watched some youtube videos and noticed it in their hatchlings as well, just wanted to make sure. 2 more days and 22 of 38 are ready to come out of hiding!

i also agree....with the 4 clutches that i had, all of them began collapsing around hatch date. Like humans, you will get some hatching early, and some hatching later than the hatch date. Its more of an estimated time of arrival if you will haha. Good luck with all the babies. They make your life interesting!

Nothing so far, a few more eggs have started collapsing, and there is one egg in particular that I dont see how it can collapse anymore, I think he will be the first to come out, here are a couple pictures of the clutch ready to hatch in the next 15 days (and of when they were just laid for kicks)

Have you added any more warm water to your cups along the way? They could be drying out. DO NOT mist your eggs directly.
