Cleaning.

I have some big pieces of cork in Fuzzys cage that look like bark on a tree.

Fuzzy poos on these an of course i spot clean but im wondering if theres a better way of cleaning them as im guessing over time they will become smelly.

Also how often do people do an entire tank clean? Weve had Fuzzy 2 weeks and his tank has stayed really clean just by spot cleaning each day.

How often do u do a complete tank clean?

I haven't really every done a complete clean.

I use this everyday to vacuum up anything that shouldn't be in there.

If she poops on anything, I just take it out and steam it.

Shortly after she eats, I put her in a little tub of water, and she usually poops in there. Its much easier then cleaning it out of the cage.

So would you steam the cork too?

Definitely. The pressure of the steam cleans off anything that is stuck to it, and the heat kills any germs or bacteria. Its really quick and easy too.
