Cleaning wood for vivarium

Ive got about 4 pieces of wood that im a going to try and use for both of my vivariums as its SOOO expensive buying it from pet shops.

BUT what is the best way to remove all the bark off of them and to clean them all up to kill all the bugs and crap all over them?

There are 2 very easy ways to kill every thing on/in them. The first is to toss them in the oven and heat them to 350F (double check this temp please). The other way is to soak it in a bleach/water soulution. Bleach kills every thing, i prefer the oven soulution myself just because its cheaper and less messy. You can find more info on the oven method all over the net, just look around.

Thanks for that ill try it in the oven............not sure how it will fit tho!

Hopefully it will dry the bark and make it come off alot easier
