Are you from San Diego? Go to this city council meeting and tell them NOT to ban reptiles!
The way this ordinance is written, it can expanded to include all reptiles, as they are "wild animals" and not normally considered domesticated in the United States. As it is, it is explicitly trying to ban monitors, pythons, and boas.
So if you are able to go to this meeting tomorrow, make your voice heard and stop them from banning our pets!
