Cheap Silkworms

Hello,

I will be breeding silkworms and selling them reasonably cheap. According to many, Silkworms are naturally the healthiest insect you can get to feed your pet. You just can't beat the low-fat content & nutritional value of a silk worm. Silkworms are a high source of Calcium, Protein, Iron, Magnesium, Sodium, and Vitamins B1, B2, and B3. They are in my opinion the best worm to feed any reptile and a better staple than Dubias. Plus these are legal in all states, other than Dubias. I was thinking about selling them at $.15 - $.18 each. This beats most competitors! Most competitors charge $20 for 100 small to large live silkworms. I will be charging $15 to $18 for 100 silkworms or $1.80 to $2.15 per dozen! I would also like to do some sort of monthly membership plan as well. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

I will have to see what it actually costs me to ship these kinds of items. I will update that But I may just add $2 on for shipping or something. Most places are $20 to $22 with shipping for 100 and not much food for them to eat. Like I said, I would really like to do this and help people afford silkworms!

definably keep us posted! im considering buying some from you :3 ill be starting my own superworm colony so all ill only be buying different worms just to add some variety. im looking for cheap worms too and you just might be the person im looking for!

Thankfully I live within driving distance of white hot dragons, and they sell feeders of all kinds. I paid $12 for a cup of silkworms. They go through the chow quick so I extend their lives by putting them in a plastic tub with mulberry leaves. I have a large tree. I have had them caccoon and become moths, even had them lay eggs but haven't gotten further than that

I live is Pasco county. I will hopefully be selling them my silkworms! I told Ken (owner) that I could supply him double the quantity of worms per cup for the same price. Maybe a tad bit more. It is outragous to pay $12 for 50 small, or 35 medium, or 25 large...

So I figured out a price for the silkworms as well. $.08 each for smalls, $.10 each for mediums, and $.15 each for large. So 100 small for $8, medium $10, and large $15. The shipping will be from $5 to $7. Most competitors are $20 shipped with only limited selections of silkworms (mainly mediums of 100, no smalls or large), and no FOOD for them to survive... That isn't very fair. We will only charge an additional $4 if you would like 1/2 pound of food to last them a few weeks, if fed right. Let me know what you guys think and if this is fair. I am really interested in you feedback and opinions before I start selling!

I am also thinking about some kind of membership plan. Say every 10 purchases off our website you will receive a $5 discount on your next purchase or free shipping? We will of course have an email list and facebook page sharing our specials and whatnot. Just let me know!

I think that sounds like really good prices. I've never tried silks cause they're so expensive, but with your prices I definitely would.

That is exactly why I will be selling them so cheap. It is ridiculous what competitors are charging... But right now I am waiting on 1000 eggs to hatch for you guys. I will just do a few for right now and see how people like them and if they do. Got lots more
