cheap Fluorescent Strip Light

Hey guys, I am a big money saver ( as opposed to cheap) i built my enclosure out of an old dresser for less than 60 bucks in materials...I currently have a solar glo 125w but i want to switch to a Fluorescent uvb....whats the cheapest route to take for a 36in? and 36in is the size i need for a 4x2x2? thanks all!

I have the same question on whether 36" is the right size for a 4x2x2, but I read in another thread here that people have bought their fixtures at Walmart pretty inexpensively. We have a very nice lumber yard here, Menards, that I like to patronize, so thought I'd price fixtures there, too. (I also think Menards is a lot cheaper than Home Depot/Lowe's.)

If you want a cheap fluorescent fixture, go to walmart and pick up the ones they have there. I got mine for about 8 dollars at 24" and they have other sizes as well. My current setup is a 55 gallon 48" length and i decided to mount the fixture from walmart to the wall to get closer to my beardie. The type walmart sells also has 2 mounting holes for screws in the back and since you have a custom enclosure, you can just mount it to the walls.
For the light, get the reptisun 10.0 from petmountain because you save almost half price buying online than in store.
That is probably the cheapest and most efficient way for your uvb setup.
