(I should have posted this here instead of in the DIY forum, sorry!)
I tried this out on my cage and was surprised at how effective it was!
-Take some UV-listed chrome duct tape
-Put a few strips on the outside top of the mesh lid where it sits over the UVB bulb at the back of the cage
-Voila!
My cage with just the UVB bulb on.
Cage with full lighting setup (UVB, basking bulb, additional flourescent tube)
I left it on all day and it worked out just fine. I feel silly I didn't try this sooner. :lol:
