Charlie's Thread 6/7/2011 *Pics*

Well i haven't really introduced many of you to my little boy Charlie......
I got Charlie early on this year but he wasn't purchased from a pet-store, i got him off a friend who know longer wanted him. My friend didn't have a clue on how to raise the poor little guy, Charlie got fed once a week (Not even that) and he wasn't supplied with water nor food
He did have a thermostat in his enclosure but im pretty sure it didn't let off any heat, He was also living with a Blue tongue skink...
The BTS was very aggressive but had never done any damage to Charlie, both of them were housed in a pretty big enclosure.....OUTSIDE.
+ their substrate was little stones.
Thats when my friend decided to let me take over
Now everythings changed....

Charlie is in a 4x2x2 enclosure and is heated with the correct temperatures, his living on tiles and could'nt be any happier. He now means the world to me and i could never ask for another beardie
The BTS is living with a wonderful family who take great care of him, he is also no longer aggressive!
Charlie has gained weight and is very healthy...

Ok so now you've seen Charlie when i first got him, here he is today:

He might not look different to you, but trust me his a totally different dragon!

I cant believe he is even here with me today, after all he went through

All the weight he has put on is impressive, how long did it take?

He love's Crickets but wouldn't eat his veggies or drink his water, It took awhile (Weeks & Weeks) but eventually in the end he gave in
I hand fed him for awile but now he eats his greens and drinks his water all on his own!

*EDIT*
His also very picky with his bearded dragon pellets, he only eats the red ones! I think i have a video of it...

I thought i would share some of my creativeness...
I've currently Charlie a top-hat and today i made him a blanket out of some mink material i found
He loves the blanket and doesn't mind the hat on him...

Green Hat:

This was my first attempt which is why it looks a lil dodgy

I shall repost the blanket image later, but for now that will have to do!

Ive been working hard on some signature's for Charlie in gimp,
As i cant afford photoshop just yet i thought that i should just use gimp for awhile!
Currently i have only made two so far but i plan on doing some more in the future...

Hello Charlie!

So weird - my Mom just got a rescue cat she named Charlie.

Your little Charlie was about as small as my Tiki was when I rescued her. Her feeding habits were NOT good at all. Just atrocious. Thanks to you - and all the wonderful dragon owners of this site, I too need to fatten up my baby.

Please, post more pics of Charlie - he's precious!

yer the hat is cute, i couldn't believe Charlie even let me put it on him, hehehe! Im currently working on some more signatures but i have exams for school too ahhhh there soo annoying lol...

I woke up today and thought, "hey, i haven't been on that beardie site in a LONG time maybe i'll log on and see whats happening". Haha. So hear i am posting a little update on Charlie.
Charlie has been doing OK, i do believe that he is getting a bit ill as he doesn't eat as much anymore and is REALLY slack/lazy. I could be wrong though, he still loves his crickets and could eat a million in one day lol
I do worry that im going to wake up and that his not going to be there, but hopefully his still got a few more years left in him, i love him dearly and couldn't imagine life without the little guy.
Charlie says "Hey" to all, and i hope that i can bring some more images soon!
