Hey folks
Just changed our Randalls Viv today. It was his first birthday yesterday; he has out grown his old viv so we bought him a new bigger one for his birthday
He doesn't seem to happy at the moment... scratching in corners and black bearding. My partner put his hand in and he reared up with his mouth open!! I know they get relocation stress but can this happen with a new viv?
He is eating fine; just eaten a few locusts. Temps are all good ... maybe he just needs time to adjust to his new surroundings. Do you guys know what the scratching in corners means? is he trying to get out or just having a dig around?
Whilst i'm posting this topic I also wanted to know if any of you know when shedding starts to slow down? We had a BD Kafka who unfortunately died of a respiritory disease; he used to shed all the time. We had him from a young baby. with Randall, we bought him when he was 6months old but since he has been with us he has hardly shed at all. We take him to our vet every 3 months to be weighed and he is growing really well?
Thanks for reading
