CCD has decided to sell their business :(

Just wanted to pass along since a lot of people here are acquainted with Carolina Classic Dragons, they posted this announcement on their FB page yesterday:

"It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Carolina Classic Dragons, LLC is for sale. Some of you know that I had a near death experience back in June. Since then, I have taken a closer look as to how I spend my time. Some know that this is a hobby, side business for me. I have four younger children and a wife that I want to spend more time with. Also, Mike has some personal career aspirations that he wants to pursue. I want to thank both Mike and Matt for all that they have poured into CCD. This business has exceeded my wildest expectations and I owe a lot of that to you guys. We have made a difference.

So...if someone out there recognizes and appreciates the earning potential and value in keeping CCD as an entity and would be interested in purchasing the business outright, email me at [email protected]. Non-disclosure agreements will be signed and we can discuss the financials. I would prefer a turn-key transaction. If this proves to not work out, we will then proceed to sell our cages, dragons, incubators, etc broken out piecemeal. Until that time comes, please do not email me or call me wanting to purchase an individual dragon, dragons or cages. If the time comes and we have to do it that way, I will let everyone know. Meanwhile, it is business as usual. We still have plenty of high end bearded dragons that we will be selling here on FB and upcoming shows.

I hate to hear it, their animals are gorgeous. But I'm sure it's the right thing for them personally. I hope someone will step in and invest in buying it.

This must be part of their strategy to liquidate... now would be a good time to remember each dragon needs his own environment (unfortunately!!)

..."Want to play the CCD lottery?!!!! Feeling lucky?! So here's the deal. We are going to do something we have never done before. Offer our dragons for sale for under $100! We are going to offer one of our CCD dragons for sale at $75 plus a flat $50 for shipping. If you want two dragons, we will knock off $10 on the second one. So you could be getting 2 CCD dragons for only $140 plus the $50 shipping cost. What's the catch? You won't know what is in the box until you open it. We aren't going to sex these or measure them or photo them. All of the CCD dragons we ship will be over 6" and healthy and all will be valued over $100 each. No nips either. There will be many collector quality dragons randomly shipped out! So you could pay only $75 for a $500 dragon. Or you could pay $75 for a $100 dragon. Either way... you win. We will label the dragon with the parents and genetics so you will know everything about the dragon you receive. We will try to honor size requests if you only want a smaller dragon.
