Carrier for vet ?

I think I need to bring our new guy to the vet for his nails. They are long and curly, and it looks like the blood supply is all the way to the end. We have Only had him for two weeks, and he doesn't really like me yet. He has tried to bite me twice. Well, he did bite, but I had shoes on. Anyways, two questions-
Should I take him to the vet ASAP even though he isn't comfortable with me yet or should I wait until he's more comfortable.
Should I see if a vet will come here?
And if I do need to take him, what do I use for a carrier?

He's probably about five years old, we are his third home besides the store.
He's about 21-22". Thanks.

Im no expert but when i take my guys to the vet i put them in a cat carrier with a a soft towel in the bottom. depending on the weather and temp you may want to put a hand warmer under the towel to keep him warm. if you don't have a cat carrier perhaps a sterilite container with ventilation. the main thing is something with a secure lid or door, you dont want to have a loose dragon running around your car :lol: like i said im no expert so i expect other members of the forum have better ideas then me

I used to use a cat carrier but since our old one got broken and was thrown out I'm looking more towards a hard plastic rabbit carrier since a medium-large one is about the same size as an adult beardie.
Definitely beats the tupperware I used to put Ivy in when she was little, that's for sure.

She really needs to go for a check up. I haven't taken her since she was less than a year old and I'm getting worried about a few noticeable issues that (while they don't seem to cause her distress, pain or affect her day to day activities) are a bit concerning.

I wonder if this would be good. He's about 21-22" nose to the tip of his tail. If I got the 23" one, would that be appropriate? Would a top loading carrier be better though? I'm sure he won't want to just walk right in for me...

I used a soft cat carrier for Suki. I wasn't too worried about her being able to spread straight out for just a quick vet visit, plus she was always on the smaller side of beardie lengths. She never seemed to mind.
