Can you use fake grass for substrate?

I am getting a baby bearded dragon in 5 days and I am thinking of using fake grass as substrate do you think that it is ok ?

Not sure about fake grass its possible he may eat it -- your better off w/ some textured NON adhesive shelf liner from your local home improvement store - its easy to clean w/ vinegar/ water 50/50- cut it to size of tank insects cannot get underneath
