Can we use slate rocks?

We have been looking for more decorations for our beardie tank and came across a couple slate rocks when we were at the lake a couple says ago. No crazy sharp edges just... rock? I know your not supposed to use a heating rock but t can you use regular rocks just for them to mess around and bask on? Thanks in advance

Yeah you can do, we recently bought slate tiles for the base of the Viv and we have a big flat basking rock that we found outside . Just make sure as you say no sharp edges, no crumbly loose bits and be sure to give them a really good clean when you bring them home to kill and bugs and bacteria. Rock is also great for keeping claws trimmed.

They say not to use heat rocks as the can burn the Dragon if get too hot but normal rocks no problem.
