I know being fed PWs that beardies grow very fast. In fact Kiku doesnt even get out of one shed and she is in another. I got to thinking if that would make her grow TOO fast. What ,if any, long term effects will it have on her. I gut load her crickets with the Zoo Med Juvenile Bearded Dragon Food . Which has vitamins and minerals in it . it also says it has correct ratios of protein, calcium and fiber for them. The crickets eat the heck out of it , they love it. However, like I said , she doesnt even get out of one shed and she is in another. Seems like she is in constant shed. She seems VERY healthy to me, Im not concerned for her health , just wondered if it would have long term effects on her.

Is it ok for them to grow at such a rapid pace? ANY comment would be very welcomed. Thanks!

Terri, I wouldn't worry since each dragon is an individual, and yes the growth charts show an average of what.. 5 dragons at each stage. As long as the tummy doesn't drag on the floor, you are fine. Yes mine grew so much the first several months that they were in shed weekly.

Terri, I'm going through the same thing with Merlin. Four months and over 14" and he does love those PW's. Seem's like he's always shedding... Stops one shed and starts another... But he looks and acts great. It's just sort of scary how fast he's growing. He was just a little guy not that long ago. I miss that little dragon... Note to self: No you cannot get another baby. Well, at least not yet.

As long as the beardie is growing "long" and not "out" you're fine. It's the same as a kid getting fat vs growing tall. Just make sure you're feeding him the good stuff (and it sounds like you are) and you'll be fine.

Thanks every one for your input. She is indeed a VERY happy dragon and VERY SPOILED too. LOL She never has stress marks on her and she is growing long not wide. I never thought I could LOVE a reptile , but I do LOVE Kiku ! LOL !

It thanks to everyone here that I have a healthy and beautiful dragon. I owe it all to everyone here for the help and guidance.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
