Wow! It's been two days since I looked at this posting and again, another transformation! We can see into those nostrils and she is SO beautiful.

Heehee...now that does look some beardie behavior. The weird positions they like to lay in are so cute! I love it when they stretch one leg one way and the other one a completely opposite way, then arch their neck another way lol

The vet called today with the results of Campbell's fecal - she's full of pinworms! He said that pinworms are measured on a scale of 1 - 4, and she is a 4+. I'm going to go in and get some Panacur for her, and we'll get her started on that. The poor thing... she's almost done her antibiotics, and now we have to start a whole new round of meds. No wonder she feels so lousy though. I can't wait to get these all cleared up!

ETA: Forgot to mention... as her mobility and energy levels improve, I am starting to see evidence of what I believe to be neurological problems. Her right side is very weak, and she doesn't have much control over either of her right legs. She does this strange "limp wrist" thing with her right front leg that I've never seen before. She also exhibits a behaviour similar to head-pressing in dogs, which could be indicative of a neurological problem. There's not much that can be done about it, so I'll just keep working with her. I'm also going to have her tested for adenovirus.

Poor Campbell! :( If it ain't one thing, it's another! At least she has an excellent slave, now! :laughing6: I hope she handles the panacur well, and the neurologic symptoms vanish with the worms, but I will definitely be keeping good thoughts as we all wait for the results. :love5:

She's such a little booger.
.

Does that mean she's a rocker? :headbang:

Sorry, couldn't resist! I'll go hide my head in shame now.

Sandi, I've just read ALL of this thread, and I am amazed/astonished at Campbell's difference in colour from page 1 upto now!
She looks fantastic! You're doing such a great job :D
I'm glad you saved her from a life of poor husbandry and ignorance!

I hope her neurological problem works out ok.

Getting rid of pinworms is easy enough. The immobility of her right side . . . well, that might improve once her overall health status is up to par.

Giver Campbell Jane a big hug and kiss for me.

Hi,

Sandi, I have just read the entire thread. I am amazed at how far she has come in so little time with you. You are truely amazing. I will be watching this thread, I can't wait to see her shed, you can see her little lip getting white where you cleaned that muck off, she's going to be beautiful under all that crap.

Good luck to both of you.

Ollie, Dizzie and Fidget send their beardie hugs to you both.

Nikki :)

Sorry that Cam needs more med's, but you kinda already knew that she would have worms....how could she not with the previous care she wasn't getting. She will feel so much better to get rid of those worms. And then she will beable to work on a shed.

Ms. Piggy had worms so bad when we got her that it took 3 rounds of med's to get rid of them. But once they were gone she did finally shed. And she looked even better.

Best of thoughts and wishes to you and Cam.

(((((((MONSTER HUGS!)))))))

Awe I hope the Panacur takes care of the pinworms for you guys. I may have missed it somewhere in this thread but is she getting probiotics too?

Anyway, *hugs* *hugs* *hugs* to you and Campbell. She'll be so much happier when she's rid of those pin worms.

Thank you everybody. Yes, she has been getting probiotics since day 1. I mix a pinch of Benebac into 1 ml of water and syringe it into her mouth. That way she gets her probiotics and some hydration at the same time. She only has two more days of enrofloxacin (sp?), but tomorrow she starts the panacur.

She hasn't pooped since last Sunday at the vet's office, so I gave her some lactulose last night and tonight. I hope she goes soon. She had four big meals (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs) and she is starting to feel really "full". I saw results after the second dose last time, so I'm hoping tomorrow will be the day.

She is going to be so beautiful after she sheds. I see some oranges and yellows peeking through, not to mention a lot of nice white scales too. I can see that she's getting ready to shed, but I want her to do it NOW!

Wow... so this is what 5 days worth of poo looks like!

poop2.jpg

As you can see, she's well hydrated! :bleick:

I found this little gift waiting for me this morning when I got out of the shower. She seems to feel really good today - she's busy exploring the living room as I type this (and as I bleach the heck out of her viv). It was pretty stinky but not as bad as I expected it would be, and it was also pretty firm, considering her parasite load.

Is this too disgusting? I'm just so happy that she pooped! I promise I won't post a picture every time she poops. This is just her first non-impacted poo, so I'm pretty excited.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
