Just used the snow day to peruse your thread! I really like that picture of Lola exploding. *gives pointed look to the 4 legged member of this household who has had a grey back and tum for days* Oh man, I can't out-glare a beardie!
Looking at your salads makes me feel like I have to step up my game! It's kinda hard to justify a bunch of veggies for just one beardie though. Guess I'll have to move into a bigger place and get more!

Speaking of veggies...where I live they came out with a "Country Greens Mix" that they sell that is pre-cut and pre-washed. It has collard greens, mustard greens, and turnip greens in it. I get that and then add some squash. Makes it easy and gives Jethro some variety.

I've seen this too....with only 1 or 2 beardies it would work. I've used it on occassion, but I need several bunches of greens. LOL
I think Fresh 'n' Easy has the country mix????

I hate to see Miss Piggy get old, she's such a darling. I wish her many more long days of basking in sunbeams.
What is it about cats? Bogie used to climb up on Middie and they would both bask on the front porch. Wish I had gotten better picts. :mrgreen:

We can't find packages like that at our stores, either. We buy a bunch of Collards or Bok Choy, one or the other, then get another one when that us used up or goes bad.

I would watch out how much Kale you give them as, if I remember correctly, kale binds itself to the calcium in your beardies and it will cause calcium problems in your dragons.

Thanks for the heads up! His previous owners mentioned that he loved kale, but after I read that on the beautiful dragons care sheet I didn't give him any. He hasn't been eating any part of his salad except for the squash since December though, so I thought I'd throw in a little bit of kale to try and tempt the little booger.

Those are 2 fav's by my crew...though remember to go lightly on the kale because they say it blocks calcium absorption???

If you wash and break it up ahead a time they seem to last longer in the frig. I find that using a tupperware type container with a paper towel placed at the bottom to absorb some of the moisture helps them to keep. Mustard greens are the #1 fav in my house they are a must. :lol: But they are one of the hardest to keep. The self life is very short...however making sure there are no leaves turning yellow an if there are removing them will help too. I'm anal about my greens you can ask my family. :lol:
Hubby says I turn into someone else when I go into the produce department. :lol:

Breaking News!!!

Just as I was about to give up on her ever growing....she's spurted...
Lola has been 12" and 90grams in what seems like forever...I had just about come to
grips with myself that this baby was never gonna grow for me. Welp! Weighed and measured her
yesterday...I was so excited I cried. :lol: 13.25" I know not much...and are you ready??? 105 grams!
Holy cow it took this little thing forever to break 100grams. :roll:
Pray she keeps it up! :love5:

Well I guess it's not fair to make a happy announcement and not post a pic or 2, right? :lol:

I have been telling her if she would just grow a little more she could sit in the window
and look outside like the big beardies. :lol:
