Yes, but with those benefits comes lots of headaches and heartaches.

I'll sell you a couple!

Hi Katrina!
Thanks! :D
He was 389 grams a few weeks back...today he has hit the 400 mark. :) I'm not sure what weight gain is normal for a turtle. :dontknow:
Mr. Turtle spends the first portion of the day roaming the house and believe me he's constantly moving.
The weather here has been rather nice during mid day(high 70's)...but crisp mornings an about 45* to 50* at night.
Roux is a pretty girl I have to get new weights and measures on her...I'm laggin. I don't think she's grown much from the last weigh in though.

Oh and Checkers decided to get up yesterday after I had posted...however after a pointless roam of the house trying to roust everyone with his Spring behaviors  gave up and went back to his waterdish to sleep.

So how's that new baby Lucky doing? 9 grams how tiny. :love5:
Are you feeling better?

Dragonowner2598, you must be speaking of Miss Piggy. :?:

Well I had the pleasure of having Itty Bitty's presents yesterday an again today. :D
She's so silly she never wakes from an extended nap/partial brumation  during the day. She always comes out just as the lights are suppose to go out. Goofball!
Anyway Bitty has been asleep for just over a month till night before last. I don't think she's up for more than a few days...Just time to snack, hydrate, and poop it back out.

Roux is trying to slow down on me... :(
She's not eating her salad just a bite or two...though she's still eating buggies. And she is not waking at the first sight of light through my bedroom window. :( She's not even wanting to wake when I first turn her lights on...she's been sleeping in to about 10am and going to sleep early. SHE CAN'T DO THIS!!! She's suppose to keep me company through the Winter while everyone else is asleep...she's the BABY!

I actually got to see several faces yesterday an again today...and even got them to eat and drink. Miss Piggy, Checkers, RD, Zak, and Roux. I guess I should not complain huh? I'm not  I was quite happy to snuggle my babies. :D It's been awhile since I've gotten a Tiggs, Blaze, or Flame snuggle though. :(

I know what you mean, Barbara, only Lonzo is getting up every day. We woke everyone up for their weekly hydration. Rubio is out again within 2 hours, but at least he got some water. Sweetie ate 10 worms  squash & water, it's been a month since she's eaten anything. She gets woken up daily until she poops it all out, then she can sleep long again, unless she's decided to get up daily. It's hard to tell when they're gone for a long time. I don't think Rubio be up any time soon. Leo & Didi get up a couple of times per week. I'll be glad when Jan-Feb is here, they'll all be woken up by then.

Glad to hear Mr. Turtle is gaining weight. How's Mr. Pugsley doing & Precious & her kittens? And the beardie babies? I'll have to check that thread again!

Next weekend will be weight time for the gang. They just love being bothered like that.

Snuggles,
Deb

Hi Deb!

Mr. Turtle is roaming around the house somewhere  as I type.
We kept all 5 of the surviving kittens they are doing good though one has a spider bite right now that we are tending to.
Mr. Pugsley is obsinate as ever...he's such a character.
Well lights have been on for a few hours here and there is no signs of beardies other than Roux so far.
I to will be glad when they are all awake again.

Precious (mama kitty) was sadly dinner for a coyote a few weeks back.

Thanks Gina! I miss her so much....
Being a country cat is not easy...of all creature the coyotes are my least liked  ...however they are not the only preditors the cats have to watch out for here. The owl that lives in our ole oak tree has a 6' wing spand and can easily pick up a small cat. Beefy my fat ole boy and Pugsley are the only ones safe from the owl because of there weight.

Hey Mr. Turtle is starting to get squishy. :D

I'd be petrified of letting anybody outside with an owl lurking above and coyotes ready for a sneak attack.

Yay for almost being squishy!!! :blob8:

Oh no! How horrible! I'm so sorry, Barbara

I almost fainted when I read this, I had always feared that my toy poodle (7lbs) would be carried away by coyotes in Co., thus he never was outside alone and was on a leash. Forget the beardies with the eagles and birds flying around, I never had a chance to find an outside cage :( ...........I'm so sorry Barbara.........seems like all I'm doing lately is saying I'm sorry to so many people and their losses. (((((((HUGS)))))))

Christine it's okay sweetie...I've learned that you can not have life without death...love without hate...happy without sad...full without empty...we just need to learn to be grateful that we can feel all the different feelings an emotions...life goes on. :( Memories last forever...or as long as we do. May we all meet at Rainbow Bridge.

Sorry for your loss Barb. I understand your coyote prob. I can hear ours as I type. They are comming in so close this year and early in the season, too. My small dog is a golden retriever and Fred is part Pyranese/lab so Katherine's cats are pretty safe here. The 'possoms and coons are a worry for my birds though. A mamma 'possom and her babies took out my whole flock of guienas one night. Stupid things wouldnt sleep in the hen house. the one that managed to survive now lives with the chickens.
Glad to hear Mr Turtle is getting squishy. How has Mr Pugsly taken to him? I bet the kittens are fun to watch with him.

Thank-you Sandy! :)

Yep we have the coyotes bad this year too.

Pugsley has no problems with any of the animals whether they like him or not. They are all comical to watch play especially in the mornings.

I'll try and get an update and some new pic's posted here in the next few days...that's not written in concrete so don't hold your breaths, but I will really try.

Hope you, hubby, Katherine, Daniel, and all critters are doing good.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
