Thank-you so very much Mary, Diane, Lori, Deb, and Gina... :love5:
Your prayers and thoughts mean so very much to the all of us. Thank-you!
I must admit I'm feeling a little lost this morning without him here. :(
I feel bad for poor ole Beefy, he has been looking for Frank all night. He woke me up several times last night. Poor kitty is missin' his daddy in a bad way.
Hope Frank is prepared for a hairy mauling when he gets home.

Waiting to find out his status for today an if they have decided when he can come home.

Luckily it was a mild stroke as he felt no pain and was completely coherent and alert. He says he feels fine...just feels like he'd been to the dentist and was shot full of Novocaine and it's not waring off.

Stubborn man indeed! :banghead:
He didn't even consider I might be right when I said I thought it was a stroke and wanted to call an ambulance.

I'm glad that I was off work yesterday and that I have today and tomorrow off as well. Though it's not the way I'd choose to spend my days off. :(

Again thank-you all for your prayers! :love5:

Hugs!

Is so agree with you, Gina, Roger was as stubborn as Frank when it came to going to the hospital.
Barbara, any news?

I just got off the phone with Frank. I had to have a nurse go tell him to answer the phone as being hard of hearing he can't hear it ring. He sounds much better this morning. :D
I only had to ask him to repeat himself one time during our conversation. We are now waiting for the Dr. to make his rounds so we can find out if he's able to come home today or if they are going to keep him for another day or two.

So glad he hear he's coming home! That is great news, and yes, kick him in the butt for me, too. Hopefully this never happens again, but next time, just call the ambulance, regardless of what he says. I'm so glad he's recovered so quickly!!!! Hugs all around!

Oh, that's great news that he's doing well enough to come home Barb. :D Hope he behaves, listens to you and follows doctor's orders but, knowing how MEN are, they do what they want regardless. Maybe you ought to tell him that all us women here will make a road trip if needed to make sure he stays in line! (He'll probably just laugh.)

You must be exhausted!

Don't worry Deb...I will certainly kick him in the butt for you too.
Thanks for the hugs! :love5:

Frank is doing so much better today. Wheew!
He is home and sleeping like a baby right now. :) I'm gonna sleep like a baby too.

I am trying to work at a phone plan(that I can afford) where I can make Canada calls too...I miss you so much and really wished I could talk with you...I especially needed you this past few days. But at least I have had everyone's online support. I really wanted to talk with you when you became a grandma too. I have to head off to your thread to see how that visit with Leo went. And to see if you have seen him again or posted new pics. Then off to bed I go.
I love and miss you.

Diane you are right he just laughed and dared all of you.

Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts. We greatly appreciate them. :love5:

They are working! :D

I'm so glad he's home and well, Barbara, what a load off your mind. And I miss talking to you, too, but I have a long distance plan, so if you get a phone, let me know and I'll call you! No need to pay extra at your end!

Sounds like Frank, laughing about getting his butt kicked

I'll talk to you soon, and no, I wasn't able to see Leo this weekend, more on that on my thread. I'm ready to kick butt, too, at this end, believe me!

Thank goodness Frank was well enough to go home already.
Other than speech difficulties, what other after effects does he have? How's his strength and ability to hold onto things? Vision?

Oh please! Doesn't he know not to dare us on anything because we WILL act on it?

How happy was Beefy in seeing his daddy home again?

HI Deb!
It is great that he was able to come home so soon, but he's not sleeping well...I think he's afraid to sleep. Knowing this makes it hard for me to get good sleep too.
I will try to get to your thread before I pass out.
Deb I just switched plans where I have unlimited talk and txt, but it does not include Canada. :( It's a cheap cricket phone...
Working on getting a land line so there is always a phone here at the house. Darn it's been a long time since we have had a house phone. LOL

Thank you Gina. :D
His mouth is numb this is what causes his speech impairment. However this also means he can not taste anything...which is probably good being his new diet.
He is endanger of having more strokes, especially in the next 6 weeks. He is currently on an aspirin regimen and Lipitor. Needs to find a good Dr. for follow up and future care. Don't think he will be doing HVAC work much anymore now. :( Sad because I know just how much he enjoys his work.

Thank you Sandy!
But what the 4377 is normal? :laughhard:

I may not have Internet for a few days so don't everyone freak if you do not hear from me in a week or so. The cost of Frank's meds put us a bit short. ( $200 FRICKEN $$$$ ) RIR+REE!!!???

There's always something going on, can I call you or does that also cost on your phone, 'cause I have a package for the US. If so, PM me and I'll do that.

I saw Leo on the weekend, he is just so cute. He was sleeping so I didn't pick him up, he wakes up now when he's picked up, that's different from 2 weeks ago, so when he's sleeping Eric and Tara want him to stay asleep as long as he can, gives them some down time. I had a great time, wasn't a long visit, had to get home to eat supper (diabetics are on a timetable for food, yuck) but hope to get there in 2 weeks. Next weekend I'm going to my first Reptile Expo with Joanne & will be meeting people I've been talking to on different rescue Facebook sites, so that will be a lot of fun. Then on Sunday it's our company picnic and Annika, Dave, Ryder and Cole are coming, too. It's close by so easy for all of us to get to. I'm looking forward to it, free food & lots of it and lots of games. My manager is in charge, she's the highest energy woman I've ever met, and so sweet, firm and easy to get along with. I just love having her as my manager.

So when you have a minute, check out my thread, lots of pics from Saturday. Otherwise, check in when you can. I so understand unexpected expenses, some things just have to wait, so I'll be patient
Take care of Frank,
love 'n snuggles
Deb

Update from Barbara, she'll be off the internet a bit more than she realized but I talked to her last night. She gets good hours at work, but will be off 3 days this week, & other bills have to be paid...isn't that just life!

Update on Frank, he's doing well, I talked to him last night and no hesitation in his speech, he was lucky. He's still having mini strokes that can cause his face, hand and feet on the right side to go numb, but he calls the ambulance if necessary. So far he's recovering well & we're all hopeful that the mini strokes stop. He said it was like aftershocks after a big earthquake. It was good to talk to them both last night. All the dragons are doing well, too, which is always good news.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
