What a cutie Mr Turtle is. Do boxing turtles need to be in water? I noticed he's not nails but no webbing, so is he like a tortoise? I do see a gleam in his eye. You said he's very curious, is he getting into things? Glad to hear that Checkers has decided that Mr. Turtle is acceptable  I'll be looking forward to more pics later on, you know, much later. Lonzo loves to bite Roger's shoes, they're hush puppies. He's been biting them for a couple of years now but only during breeding season, so he must think they're just strange looking beardie females. It's hilarious to watch
Just joining in the hijacking because Didi has such great Hallowe'en colouring. But I always enjoy Dawn's contributions! She send me a pumpkin, too, but the most hijacking by pumpkins has been on Vicky's thread...some great pumpkin pics there!
We're not much on Hallowe'en, as there aren't any kids visiting and Eric out on his own. Roger gets candy anyway, says "just in case", then eats it all himself!
Is Mr Turtle still with you? He's a cute. Thanks for the update on your crew, sounds like they're all getting ready for some sleeping. At least you have your baby Roux, your kitties and Mr. Puglsey to keep you company. Just went through the baby pics again, they're just so cute.

Sorry Deb I somehow had over looked this post you made don't ask me how.
Yes Mr. Turtle will be staying with us. Box turtles require higher humidity than beardies and the substrate needs to be moist with a water dish available, but doesn't need a pond for say. I'm using moistened coconut fiber as substrate. He is very curious and roams the house during the am hours everyday. During which time he seems to wedge himself into some very strange places...like between a box or cabinet and the wall...doesn't sound so strange unless he seen him 12" off the ground.
Deb, Checkers hates the turtle all the beardies do. However I have discovered they have reason...he makes a beeline for them trying to bit them if out at same time. Checker's actually pecked at his shell once.
Here's Mr. Turtle heading for the morning sun coming in the door...
Okay as for my beardie bunch...
Not many are awake, but RD did decide to get up yesterday when I took her ivy out to wash...
Hey mom..."where's my ivy?"
Eh-Um...you need to dust up here to mom.
Okay so now that I'm awake I want out of here....
Aww daddys dirty ole hat perrrrfect...:love5:
My Sexy Lil Miss Attitude....Roux
The boys (Zak-n-Wheezie) are still up but getting very tired....
Everyone else is tucked into blankies an;or hides....

Thanks for the update, Barb. Those pics of Mr. Turtle are cute. I would love to have a turtle but most of them seem to live for 150 years and I have no one to leave them to.
Gina having a turtle in the house now I understand the crazy antics of Buddy you have posted....they are funny "PERSISTANT" little creatures. I took Mr. Turtle outside yesterday he always makes a beeline for the vineyard. This time I let him actually succeed. That last 2 feet was hilarious as he kicked in with the super boosters. Did not realize he could move so fast.  And you have to love the trails left behind by a turtle...what neat looking foot prints. When he got to the grapevines he went straight for a clump of dried up grapes on the ground...don't worry I scooped him up, found him a few good grapes that were still on the vine to wash for him to eat. They are so smart Mr. Turtle likes to wedge himself between the open front door and the screen-door at the hinge side...I finally figured out what he was doing...well actually Frank did. He's trying to push the screen-door open. He also knows where the bugs are kept.
Thanks Lori!
With all the kids and grandkids I have I shouldn't have problems willing him to someone  ...besides he was Freddie's turtle so where he will go when that time comes has tenitively been worked out.
OMG! Barb he is so cute! Have you ever weighed him?? We weighed Grimm the other day and she was 54 grams and baby Lucky was 9 grams! It's getting too cold to get ours outside but Anthony took them out for about 5 minutes yesterday. They are not quite as adventurous as Mr. T
Your beardie bunch looks great, Roux looks like a grown up She's gorgeous!
