Buying offline?

Hi everyone!

So I was doing some browsing for different sites that I could order things for Roo off of.
Not necessarily just food, but other things like decor or just nice things for her to use or eat.

I know of two, phoenixworms.com and lindasgonebuggie.com.
and of course others like amazon, ebay, petco, or the like.

Just wanted to see who all buys what, where

Toothless has been absolutely loving Reptiworms. I bought some about 3 weeks ago because crickets were costing a fortune at 10 cents each. I bought 300 small and they lasted me 2 and a half weeks somehow even though he eats about 45 a day! I paid $15 including shipping. He has grown just about 2 inches since I switched from crickets and his colors are really popping!

I think I'm gonna need to buy more Repti-Worms. I don't even have my beardie yet, but judging on how much they eat I know I'm gonna need more than 150. I did just order 250 Dubias from http://www.kimbrellscoldblood.com/

I don't have a beardie yet so I haven't had to actually touch them... but as far as I'm concerned, a little tiny roach is WAY BETTER than even a tiny jumping cricket that jumps and can escape and land on me and.... ew :silent:

Hahaha, crickets aren't my favorite either, but I've been brave enough to keep hold on their little butts when feeding time comes.
They live in a separate tank in my room WITH A LID haha, only thing that ever bothered me with crickets was their smell, their evil jumping abilities on to my ARM, and they are noisy as night.
I've actually just ordered some phoenix worms, so hopefully the crickets won't be around much longer -_-
I don't know if my phobia of roaches will ever go away xD

I don't know how you can handle evil, loud, smelly, JUMPING crickets.. as long as I get the extra small - small MAYBE medium Dubias, I just need to remind myself that they can't actually fly, or climb, and can look like cute little rollie pollie bugs... I keep looking at pictures of Dubias to try and help, but I just kinda sit here and shudder...

and like I said, I don't like the crickets either, I can handle the worms better lol.
thats a good idea about the rollie pollie thing, I used to play with them all the time when I was little. But then again when I was little, I was fearless of bugs >_<

Yea, rollie pollies have always been cute. Worms are definitely a non issue, so Repti-worms may have to be a staple... but with 250 Dubias, I may just be able to get over my fear of little roaches... maybe..

I like a couple of different places. My favorite place to get roaches, is from Lance aka (twobeardieguy) on this forum in the for sale section. I am grossed out by roaches, but Lance sends CLEAN stuff to you. Other places I have bought from, have a lot of debris I have to pick out. The best thing I have herd on this site about handling roaches, or not handling them to be more exact, was instead if egg crates, use toilet paper rolls, and paper towel rolls. You can pick them up with tweezers, shake the desired amount into a bowl, and you do not have to touch them at all. As far as dealing with the big dubias, I am thankful I only have to clean their bin one time a month. I just put my big girl panties on, and keep reminding myself it is only one time a month.
Other places I get things from, is www.mulberryfarms.com, www.dubideli.com www.FlukerFarms.com, www.phoenixworm.com, and the very best place to get special supliments I have found is www.bug-de-lite.com Acidophiluz and Liquid Calsium are king in my book. I have gotten dandelion seeds from beardeddragon.co/ and for the least expencive UVB lites, I got mine from www.petmountain.com
