So in other posts of mine you can read about how my beardie stopped eating a week ago after her relocation to a new viv.
Since about Wednesday I have been hand feeding her baby food.
She still refuses to eat crickets so I went to the store to look for some worms because when she was healthy she loved phoenix and wax as treats.
The local reptile store only had butterworms. They are having a temporary supply problem with thier other worms.
Anyway she loves them. Wont eat anything else but will gobble up butterworms without hesitation.
I am a bit concerned about how many to give her.
If she hasn't eaten much for days should I let her eat as many as she wants?
Yesterday i only let her eat 2 or three at a time because I didnt want to make her sick. But I am now inclined to let her eat more than that.
My concern is about the size of the butterworms. They are a bit longer than the space between my beardies eyes. I wasnt sure how much of a concern this is with butter worms because they are so soft.
The space between her eyes is about 1/2" inch and the butters (depending on how stretched out they are) are around 3/4". Am I ok with this? Can butterworms cause impaction?
She has been eating so little I am inclined to let her eat something a bit bigger than she would normally eat instead of not eating at all.
Thanks.
