When feeding butternut squash, do you cook it or just shred it raw or what? If you cook it, could you please tell me how? I know, a dingbat question but I really don't cook any more.
i am fairly new here but i just purchased some the other day and was able to feed dino raw, i just shredded it down and he liked it, i read on here if you cook it that it loses some or most of its nutrients. hope my $.02 was helpful. definitly wait for other to post tho, i have been reading so many posts in the last couple of days that i may be off, but pretty sure thats what i read.
you are very welcome. really glad there is a community like this to help people, id probably worry myself sick if it wasn't for the guys and gals here.
you may also want to try squash baby food, my little guy just loves it, dont matter if its out of the syringe or or off my finger he never turns it down, not sure how different the nutrients are since the only thing the bottle says is squash and water. just any idea
thats what i was thinking too, the outter skin was like an 1/8 inch thick or a lil more, i just cut like vertical sections then just cut the rhine off and then shred it
I feed mine raw, but you can cook it, too. When you cook it, it brings out the sweetness and the beardies love this. You can cut it up and boil it to cook it or cut it into slices and microwave until they are soft.
I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
