So when I came home from easter service and could not find Dibl in his cage, I thought that he was under his log as it had been blocked up by sand. He was buried under his substrate even his head was under it. D: He is his light yellow color that he is typically when he is happy.... is he in burmation? I have had him for 4 years and whenever he has gone into it he never has burrowed himself...
Thank you.

btw. should I soak him every so often while he doing this?

i didnt even bother reading it after you mentioned sand as a substrate. you should get rid of it due to extremly high risk of impaction and other problems. your lucky nothing has happend yet.

yeah hes right you dont want a substract like sand. it can dry up in their stomach and eventually kill him/her.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
