Im going to be taking tito to the vet on Monday. But i need advice. So for anyone who didn't see my first post we rescued tito from a nice family who didn't do there research. Im guessing hes 6 months old now. They didnt have uvb light or give him calcium. So he obviously has mbd. He is my first beardie and im trying my best to help him. We love him so much. His back is all crooked and his back legs didnt work well at fist but that part has improved greatly. As for lighting I have the reptisun t5 10.0 and was told thats not enough being its on top of the screen about 5 inches from where he likes to be. so i got the mega ray mercury vapor bulb as well. Which is also on top of the screen about 10 inches from him. The mega ray is not keeping his basking spot at steady temps. Most of the day its about 90 degrees. Then it will suddenly jump to 106. I check the temp both looking at the digital probe on his basking spot and with a temp gun about 10 times a day. Its very frustrating. So he just had his first shed since being with us. All day yesterday his basking spot was around 90 then i checked on him in the evening and it was 106! His back leg where he recently shed maybe looks burnt? Or does it look like that when the shed skin falls off? I put neosporin on it just to prevent infection which is why its shiny in the pics. Please advise me on what to do.
