Buddy is still alert...active, looking good, no signs of any distress....I'm now convinced SHE is gravid. I'm still missing Oz though and panicking...

i can't see how your beardie could eat a full iguana without any trace of blood, mine leaves legs a blood all over when eating locusts!!

If he has eaten him... which i find quite bizarre and highly unlikely!... then he's going to really struggle to digest/pass him.... so a vet would likely be needed...

the picture is quite uncertain as i cannot see any femoral pores along his legs/near his anus?? unless they are there and just a bad picture, males usually have quite noticeable pores running along the back legs and near the anus....

It's been several hours later.

Buddy went to cool side to chill out sleep mid day (slightly un normal) Went into water dish...I don't normaly observe this but I am not usually this observant at the enclosure 24/7 as I have been today literally jotting down every deep breath, puff, sigh you name it I've jotted it down.

I recently gave a bath and got a good size amount of fecal matter out. Initially white then the remnant of salad came out. Perhaps yesterday's diarrhea combination of to many of 1 item... Squash...mangoes...tomatoes? Mealworms were only partially digested. He....gr...She is sitting next to me on the arm of the couch drying off alert w/ Dandielion greens in front of her but there is to much stimuli for her to eat. I think (Please correct me) I will cut back on the tomatoes and mangoes and see if that makes a difference. She was getting a very small amount but maybe it was still to much or it was just stress/and the amount that did it..

Oz is still missing and I've set up heat lamps all over house/yard w/ food/water to help lure...I have 2 active kids and in a very active neighborhood on 3/4 of an acre...finding a 6 month old baby is seemingly impossible in a packed house of 4 w/ 3500sqft inside to inspect

awww its such a shame for you... :S i'd be worried sick, but at least you've realised he is infact a she... and that there's at least another reason she could be acting this way and its not definitely down to her having eaten Oz.....

there was a post on the website earlier about a beardie who went missing OUTSIDE...here in the UK.... where the weather is freexing at the moment...and a neighbour found it, she was still alive and had actually put weight on, i can't believe she survived the night! never mind 2 weeks of it!!

these little critters can really suprise you sometimes!! keeping my fingers crossed and my Bilby is thinking of ur baby!!
Its late here so i will check again in the morning, have u introduced the laying box yet?? if so any sign of digging??

keep up the good work but i really would suggest a visit to the vet, can't be that expensive?!

I consulted ER vet they said no bloody stools I'm ok to wait as long as no other red flags. I have 3 Exotic specialists I've contacted to interview already. I also have a vet I worked for in NY who has an exotic specialist on staff that would treat my critters if need be it is just 200 + miles to get to that one..one way. So I am researching fast.

Buddy I think is good, no digging yet, stomach feels SOOOOOO much better than yesterday.
I'm worried sick about our new baby Iguana though :( Another sleepless night ahead for me

glad her stomach feels a little better, my goodness i hope she really didn't eat oz, so sad for you worrying about the poor little thing!

she looks lovely all snuggled up in her blanket! :D and light in colour so she looks happy, well at least you have contacted a few people who will know muh more about how o treat her/ how she's doing.... shame that the vet is so far away who you know!!

I'm just sat here chilling with my Bilby, he's a happy chappy today even though he's shedding :D

hope you find poor Oz xxx

Guys, I'm new to this, but I don't think a pregnant female goes from normal looking to having a huge lump in their side in 40 minutes. If it was my beardie I'd be getting x-rays.

I agree with above, I'm logging, observing to see if she is in fact gravid or what. Once she passed her bowels she wasn't nearly as full looking. I still can't locate Oz it is a complete needle in a haystack. We've put lights, food in all areas... I've even put up cameras to see if there is any action by them...it's cool here today and nights are very chilly. I'm fearing worst for Oz.

Buddy looks good, light color, less active today, just basking not restless trying to get out as she was in previous days last few weeks. It got to the point where if I opened the front door she would come up to me and is not. So right now I'm documenting non-stop and tomorrow I'm interviewing 1 of 3 Exotic specialist. The Vet I worked for in Long Island is now in Staten Island its a 5 hour drive for me but I trust him completely his associate is an exotic specialist so after interviewing these, and e-mailing Tufts I can bring Buddy to him and have her looked at there.

I haven't slept, I feel like its starting to look dismal for Oz. While I don't see anyway of getting out of the 3 season room we've scoured every corner..leaving outdoors, main house or garage. Yesterday was gorgeous out. I spent hours on the roof looking into surrounding trees/brush with Binoculars. We have so many hawks, squirrels, birds, and other wildlife that while Oz is fast and can hide I fear outdoors is a death sentence... I'm just so upset on so many counts right now. Meanwhile, construction for the "Ultimate Iguana Habitat" continues...we are constructing one as outlined in a particular book and completing it this week.

Continued thoughts for Buddy and the S&R for Oz are all appreciated...I literally haven't slept since this happened on Friday.

Hi honey,

I am praying for Oz's safe return to you! I would be an emotional wreck if it was any of my babies! My friend went through a missing Iguana and we used the following site for suggestions on how to find it. It helped! She ended up being in a hole underneath the couch

Have a read, there may be something you have not tried or done yet

GOODLUCK! <3

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
