BSFL Turning Up Whole in Poo

Is it normal for whole BSFL to show up in the dragon poo? I’m guessing it’s because they’re so small (even though I’m feeding him larges) and he’s not really chewing like he does with crickets and dubias, but I just wanted to check. Thanks in advance!

I asked this same question a couple days ago. I was putting the bsfl on top of my little guys salad before and had no issues with them showing up whole. I switched them to a separate feeding dish and then started seeing them. I'm going to go back to my old method so he eats them slower. First time beardie owner so I worry over everything! ?

Yep, it's mostly just a speed eating/not chewing issue. Not harmful but they don't get as much of the nutrients from the food that way. Slowing them down and letting them chew is the key.

This is why I hand feed my BSFL to my dragons or give them to them a few at time in a dish or on the floor.
More likely chew them up and make the pop open in the process.
