BSFL question

I've been running a BSFL bin this year and its been doing pretty good. However my last couple big crawl offs have had a lot of the younger/smaller white grubs. Can I dump them back in and hope they mature? I read somewhere that once they crawl off they don't eat again. I just don't know what's causing this. They don't seem to be prepupates and get somewhat mushy in the wine cooler. All my other big harvests are normally mature darker grubs. Its very well vented in a shady area so heat is not the issue. Any input will be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help really - I just want to say, I'm pretty jealous. I live too far north to culture my own. Have you read thru the forums at the blacksoldierflyblog? Maybe they can help?
