BSFL from compost to dragon?

I read the how to on the black soldier fly larvae. That's how to fatten them up vs create them.

Can I start a "colony" of them in a compost grower and feed them to my dragon? It would be non-fat, veggie/fruits scraps only compost. No grass or whatever. I have a friend with chickens who said she will take the surplus.

As long as you are raising them on healthy food that can go to your dragon as well, I don't see why not.

Yay! :blob5:

That makes it easier. Gets rid of our plant based compost, feeds chickens, AND my dragon!
