Brumation...?

I read a post about brumation and I looked it up because I didn't know what it meant because I am still studying bearded dragons. And when I looked it up, it's pretty similar to hibernation except they can stop sleeping at some point. But because my bearded dragon is sleeping so much, does this mean any sign of brumation?

Hello,

Brumation is "essentially" the same thing as hibernation, only it is something done by
reptiles not mammals. To my understanding, glucose is used as a source of energy during
this phase for reptile metabolism in opposition to fat metabolism for mammalian hiberation.
It seems like they always do a little something different, meaning some sleep very deep &
don't always come out for water, food, etc. Others are very light sleepers & tend to come
out frequently for water & food or attention. It widely varies but it is a normal behavior in most
reptiles old enough to brumate. As long as they are seemingly healthy, of good weight & age
which is at least 6-7 months & their weight is stable they can safely brumate.
