Hi I just got my bearded dragon a month and ever since he has been sleeping/laying in the cold side of the tank the whole time I have only seen him basking a handful of times and not active at all mostly sleeping laying up right against the glass and has not eaten much the past few days, so I'm wondering if it's brumation or something else (baby boy 6" 3 months old got from A-1 reptiles)

Tell us about your set up...
What type lights?
What are your enclosure temps? How are you measuring them? What's your day/night cycles?

Please fill us in on your setup and answer the questions that Rankins posted. It is very concerning to hear about a 3 month old sleeping a lot and not really eating. A 3 month old would NOT be brumating, something is not right. Please help us to help you and him so we can try to get this figured out asap.

What type of thermometer are you using, digital strip, round gauge (dial), temperature gun or digital probe thermometer?

What brand & type of UVB do you have?

Have you been offering him drinks of water on his nose to make sure he isn't dehydrated?

I threw the light box away but it was zoo med reptile 100 w light, I gave him a bath a few days ago but he has been doing this for over a month since I got him I'm using one of those digital thermeters you can get from pet co, he is only active once you hold him then he runs around and stuff , his light goes off around 930 and gets turned on at 645-7am

He is very cute and colorful. Looks a little thin but not bad. Does the digital thermometer have a long wire & probe end?

Is the 100 watt bulb just a white basking bulb or is it a mercury vapor bulb that supplies heat & UVB?

Would be a good idea to offer him drinks of water off his nose as that is the best way to hydrate them thoroughly.

Had you been dusting the feeders with calcium? How many did he eat the last time he did eat?

Can you post some pictures of your setup so we can see where the lights are placed, etc?

the light is for everything they need uvb etc every time he gets fed he gets them dusted but we ran out of crickets but to buy them it takes around 20 minutes to get them since we need the small size so for the past few days all he has had are greens

To make sure your beardie is getting UVB exposure, would you be able to read what is stamped on the base of the bulb tomorrow and let us know? Should have brand name, wattage, etc.

Have you taken the probe end and placed it right on the basking spot & then waited about 45 min to see what the basking SURFACE temp is?

Would be a good idea to have a fecal checked for parasites if you haven't yet to rule that out.

Is this what you have? http://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-incandescent-bulbs/11442-107801/zoo-med-powersun-uv-mercury-vapor-uvb-lamp.html?gclid=CPzto8f68dICFZdLDQodFSIF4g# Does it say PowerSun anywhere on the bulb? If not, it is just a basking bulb and doesn't supply UVB.

Heat mats can overheat and be dangerous. Does he lay directly on the heat mat?

Have you taken the probe end and placed it right on the basking spot & then waited about 45 min to see what the basking SURFACE temp is? If not, that's what you should do.

Good that he ate & basked a little this am. How much did he eat?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
