Brumation or something to worry about?

You'll have to ask her, as I only go to my vet for fecals, I just wrap it in tinfoil and put it in the fridge until I leave.

Poop is shipped!
He's been more active today. I had been really watering down his greens assuming he was dehydrated because he wasn't badking. He first let out a puddle (literally) with urate and then 2 big blobs like he usually does. He's also been basking today! Something he hasn't done the past few days. still eating like a champ though. I just relocated him to my room and I know that could cause his counts to go up. I moved a little one as well. I'm going to wait a few weeks before having the little one tested.

Update: still waiting for the fecal test results from Beardeddragon.co
But I've noticed a little pattern, Jasper seems to have energy and want to be out and about when it is warm outside.
We've had pretty bipolar weather and I actually had to turn on his CHE during the day for a few days. His temps have been fine but... Does your Beardie get sad when it's rainy and dark outside?
Today it's sunny and he WANTS OUT haha :)

Also, there is a lot of water in my Dragon's poop. But I soak their greens. There were weird little balls or seeds that my boy pooped out. I'm not sure if that's apart of the crickets I feed him?

So it just dawned on me to ask about your temps that he's under, are they over 95F? It's really important that the temps be about 100F so he'll digest his food properly. I know you add water to his greens, but do you give him soaks, too? He should have a 20 min soak every 2 days at least to make sure he's well hydrated. Water in greens is great, but isn't enough to make sure he's well hydrated all through inside. I've gone through this before and was told about the baths, within a week they were back to normal. Water in poop is normal, it's just the excess of what he's taken in. So I'm glad you got the sample off, I'm hoping it's normal. I also wanted to ask what type of UVB are you using, coil, compact or tube and what brand is it. If it's a Reptiglo, or any type of coil or compact, that might be a reason for the lethargy, they're known to cause issues with dragons. So let me know about that, too. If you're using a long tube, the best type if Reptisun 10.0 or Arcadia.

Hello, his temperatures have been hard to keep consistent lately with the weather. So that is a good theory as far as what could be going on! (Hoping its not Parasites related)
I soak him a little more frequently than every two days. I have him out more than daily usually, but if I'm going to let him hang out and explore for awhile I soak him first so he'll poop. (also keeps his viv perfectly clean) :D
I use a reptisun 10.0 tube (mounted inside) under 6 months of age :study:
His basking Temp. Stays just around 100 but with the weather I have needed to have my CHE going as well.
Question though: his basking temp is 100 but the side is in the upper 80's. I've never seen anything about the surrounding air temp. Just the requirements for the basking spot and cool side so I'm curious.
I forgot to mention that I relocates him to my room about 2 weeks ago. But this lethargic attitude came a week after or so. :(
I got him from a pet store so I do worry about pet stores. In addition to that, I was told a girl brought her Beardie in to breed with him while he was at the pet store. I know he wasn't mine at the time but the ignorance of people having their dragon breed with a stranger dragon is irritating... :banghead:

He's an adult, so 100F should be fine for a temp. What sized tank do you have him in? The UVB is wonderful, so it's not that, the baths are fine, so it's not that. My Titan, who's about 9 mo old (a rescue from a petshop, so not sure of his exact age) has parasites, and is going to the vet on Saturday (he's already had one dose of Baytril, but they came back) yet he was eating lots and was active until today, when he didn't eat his salad as he normally does and wasn't very active, so I'm glad I'm getting him to the vet on next Saturday, taking in another sample, guess that last sample I took in was too early after the treatment.

So hopefully you'll get that soon. Cheryl does sell the meds needed to get rid of them, too. Just stay in touch with her to let her know to send the meds needed and ask her how much they cost.

Good luck and keep us informed. Parasites are a pain but easy to get rid of. 3 weeks after the medication is done is when you send in another sample to make sure they're gone. Sometimes, like Titan, they need another dose.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
