My Beardie generally eats crickets, veggies and occasionally super worms. He varies between hanging inside his cage all day and then when I take him out he'll eat a little superworm or veggies then either bask or go back info the cage. I bathed him the other day BC he hasn't pooped in like two weeks! He usually poops every week - sturdy good poops. He doesn't seem to be sick but idk. He has never been the type to run down to eat unless it's super worms but he hasn't done that the past two times I've given it to him. He's interested but not enough to run to it - if I put him to the superworm he'll eat them. He'll eat maybe half the greens. I'm going to give him another bath now and massage his belly like last time but any help would be great. Thanks! Dulce

It's possible that he's in some level of brumation if his energy and appetite are down. I suggest monitoring his weight closely. In brumation the weight should remain relatively stable. A downward trend in weight may indicate illness.

I weighed my guys by putting a shoebox top on a kitchen scale, taring the scale, and then putting them into the shoebox top. I measured their weight in grams and kept a chart so I could recognize trends easily.

I'm new to this brumation thing & concerned about My nieces dragon. The other day after a bath and some living room exercise, he finally pooped. So I let him be for a few days. This evening I got him out for a little baby food, which he ate and a couple of mealie worms. I just don't want to leave him hibernating or brumating for too long. He seems ok, no real illness that I know of. He has never been to the vet. Thank you copper for all your postings for all the dragons. A lot of dragon owners are depending on you for some advice and answers. It's going to be a long winter of hibernation.

Do you think I should give him baby food? If so how do I give it and what/how much do I give?? This isn't the first time I've heard of doing this

Mystic will lick baby food chicken, sweet potatoe, & applesauce off my finger or a clear plastic spoon. It keeps him hydradrated, since I don't see him drinking water.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
