Breeding ?

So ive breed my yellow sandfire female to my red/orange tiger and they had 16 beautiful babies. She hasnt laid anymore and so i was trying to put them together again but my male doesnt seem to be rally trying. My female seems very interested and tries to help him but nothing. why is this since he has already done it once?

Give it time! She will probably lay more! They can retain sperm up to 1 year!! You don't want to over breed her and stress her out!! When was the last time she laid? You really should not reintroduce them if she already did!! Good luck...

you should only breed a female once per season if her body isnt able to produce more eggs at the moment than she needs time to recooperate instead of trying to force the issue.

she laid back in may, the eggs incubated for 85 days, and the eggs hatched aug 7th she hasnt gotten fatter since, y would she wait to lay when its normally every 3-4 weeks?

i did not say wait to lay i said wait to breed her again. if she only laid the one clutch this breeding that is all her body can support. this was her first breeding it is a lot for her body to get used to. Next season she will pop multiple clutches. Most females only do 1 maybe 2 clutches on their virgin breeding. just give it time.

Generally if she goes 90 days after laying without another clutch, she's done for the season.
