Breeding Silkworms

Hi all,

I recently gave up on breeding crickets and I want to try silkworms this time. I would like to know how to breed them. Also, is it is cheaper to breed crickets or to breed silkworms because of the mulberry leaves you need to buy for their food. Lastly, is it cheaper to buy silkworms in bulk or to breed them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Zinnia

I dont know a ton about it but I'm fairly certain silkworms are one of the more difficult insects to breed as feeders. That and they're larval state in pretty short if I recall. I do know they ONLY eat mulberry or silkworm chow...crickets are way easier.
