breeders sexing hatchlings

Hi all,
I keep seeing that many breeders know specific sexes to their BDs as little as 3 inches long. I cant seem to find any guideline for sexing beyond the base tail markers, which become available @ 6-12 inches. Do breeders to DNA testing or something? If so is there a relatively cheap DIY way? Any info / input would be greatly appreciated.

They look at the underside of the tail. A experienced breeder can make a pretty good guess at the sex on really small dragons but I've never seen any guarantee the sex on babies under 6".

Correct, "probable", the rest pretty much are all exactly 6 inches :/ Thank you for pointing that out.
