Hey Terri Here. I haven't been posting in awhile, just reading.
Boga is 9 years 2 months old and she seems to be losing some weight. What can I feed her to try and add some weight?
She has been perfectly healthy all her life and is just a bit skinny.
She is still active but sleeps a bit earlier.
Is it just old age?
Which veggies or foods should I give her?
Thanks.

Has she been eating/going to potty normal? I heard parasites can make a beardie lose weight so have you gotten her a fecal test?
As for a food to put weight on a beardie, try wax worms. They are very high in fat and shouldn't be fed regularly but I have heard of people feeding skinny reptiles that to put some padding on.

Yes she has been eating and pooing normally. She does slow down her eating in the winter. And no parasites! She already looks better than she did with just two days of more food and some canned pumpkin her favorite treat.
Thanks!

I just weighed her and she has lost some more weight.
5/28 365 g
5/31 360 g
6/8 340 g
today she didn't want to eat, even her favorite pumpkin on the silver spoon.
She's sitting outside in her cage in her shallow dish of water soaking up the Florida sunshine.
Is is just old age?
Someone with older Beardies please answer.
