well i think most everything that can be said about the video has been said.... it was horrible.
honestly i thought that when it started out with showing their facility that it would show the bins, i expected a few feedings a dragon or two mating or what have you, but that was way out of line. I felt so bad for the little anole, to me he actually looked like he was scared and the poor scorpion, he was trying his best to defend himself and he was taken apart one small peice at a time, not to mention the problems it could and probalby will cause for those dragons.
I was one of those that held them up pretty high on the totempole.... i have never been a fan of large breeders no matter what the animal, but i have always respected what they do as long as they are doing what needs to be done to care for the animals properly, but this was sick. i was parked waiting on my rents to drop their car off and watched the ENTIRE video in the car and when they got in i must of had a face because they asked me what was wrong... i coulndt show them that. my mom adores phoenix and it would of broken her heart. my dad (gonna be honest here) he probably would of thought that was a "cool" video, but only because hes uneducated in the area of BDs, not because of any other reason besides not knowing what is correct.
I hope others venture out and come here to find this site so they know what to do to care for their animals. not often but on occasion i go into petsmart and of course someone will be buying a reptile, regardless of what is it i send them here, this forum has extra places for other reptiles so i figure if i cant help them someone here can......
there is nothing more i can say.... i'm sick thinking about that video. I used to have a lot of respect for them but i'm sorry... i have lost every shred of respect for that company....

i feel so bad about all of that.... the eggs, the "feeders" the dragons, all of it....

I'm not taking sides, but everyone acts like BB will be ruined because of this, when in reality, like a previous poster said, this will just get them more customers!! its advertisement, some people like to see things like that I guess. by everyone "spreading the word", they'll get all kinds of views on the site, and I'm sure boatloads of new customers. true I would never feed either to my dragons, but to each his own I guess, they are his dragons. I know I have 6 BB dragons, and Steven is one of the nicest guys I've met in the reptile business, and he has helped me multiple times!! even sent me replacement dragons a couple times when mix ups were made not even by him. really, I feel like all that is going on here is a bunch of childish bashing haha, but again, I'm not saying it's wrong or right, who's to say that a wild bearded in australia(100+ species of scorpions in aus.) wouldn't eat a scorpion walking by, I know mine pretty much eat anything that moves. and I know that it's different in captivity, but I don't feel what BBD did was the end of the world.... just my .02 :lol:

Wow I watched that video and was amazed. I thought they were such a reputable breeder. However, he will probably lose business from a lot of good beardie owners. It's a shame.

I was thinking about buying one from bloodbanks. I am sooo glad I didn't. Totally disgusted by the video. I bought mine from Rockinardragonz.com, she is awesome breeder always there when I need her... Highly recommended!

i was getting the results from the fecal at my vet and there was a man with a BEAUTIFUL dragon that he said was from bloodbank i asked what was wrong and he said his bearded dragon was really sick and hadnt pooped after he ate an anole..the problem is BBdragons are a big breeder so people asume that they know exactly what they are doing.. by posting a video like this people think its ok

Some one should email or PM BBD about that... I mean, surely they would care if they knew that they were killing their own beardies?!

Doesn't make me feel better either. Was disappointed to see he did not say why he deleted comments regarding safety of his animals. It all sounds convenient, but with him deleting any comment that doesn't suit him bothers me.

Wow, I watched the video and I agree that I wouldn't buy from them either if I wanted another beardie in the future. And again I can just say wow :shock:

Pretty sad when you have to delete all the negative/questionable comments on a video just because they might make you look bad and only keep the good ones :roll:

Yeah, he should have said "The anole feeding is to show why you should not house dragons together, and the scorpion's stinger was cut off for the safety of the bearded dragons" or something to that effect..

We saw the video the other night and it made us sick. This is why we do not like these so called "Big Breeders" to me they are in it purely for money and not the love of dragons.
