Did anyone else see it? It's considered a "shock" video, so I can't post the link, but it is on their website.
They feed their dragons an anole and an scorpian, so be warned...

But really, is it even remotely safe to feed a beardie a scorpian?! It looked like an Emperor scorpian, so they aren't deadly poisenous, but I've heard that their sting is like a bee sting. Not to mention the massive claws and thick exo skeleton...

And the anole part was too sad for me to watch, so I had so scroll down until it was over.

Thoguhts? I thought the video was rather disturbing. I didn't watch past the feeding part though.

I always kind of wanted a Bloodbank dragon until I saw that video. Now I can say I have no desire to ever do business with a company that treats their animals that way.

I think he did it just for the video, I have a bloodbank dragon and he is in great shape, he said they are fed a staple of dubias and greens, think it was a show for the camera.

I felt the exact same way when I saw their video!! Always sorta wanted one, because their beardies are pretty amazing, but definitely not anymore. Especially if they did it just for show. Even watching the scorpion get torn apart bit by bit was pretty awful. :(

for show or not that is just too much.
We had looked at maybe getting one of their dragons but after that there is NO way that will EVER happen.

Honestly if they fed the scorpion and anole just for show I think that makes it even worse. That is a total disrespect for the animals. If you are knowingly doing it because it looks cool, that's quite a bit worse in my book than doing it in ignorance.

Agreed, I lost a LOT of respect for them after watching that video. :( Doing anything that would put your animals in harms way "just for show" is so wrong... They may be excellent breeders, but after seeing that video, I kinda rank them with those other beardie owners who feed mice, baby beardies, bird, ect to their lizards just so they can put it on YouTube.

Honestly, I felt horrible for that poor scorpion. I had a Gaint Afican Millipede for 4 years, and even "bugs" have little personalities, and she was such a sweet and gentle little creature. Poor thing didn't stand a chance getting ripped a part by 6 or 7 dragons. Same with the anole...

I feel sick after reading this thread, and I didnt even watch the video. I know I won't be buying from them, nor will I be recommending them. Thats just SICK.

Hello,

It is heartbreaking to watch films/videos like that, even though we all KNOW that it goes on. That doesn't mean we should have to watch it.
We have a male & female pair of green anoles, & they are so sweet. I can't even imagine putting them through such torture & pain such as what the one in the video went through.

Just goes to show that just because someone has nice animals and has been breeding a long time doesn't mean they are good people or overly caring for their breeders. Emperor scorpions have a very hard exoskeleton, I hope the dragon that ate it will be ok.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
